Our Technology

Every piece of technology at Nest Dental was chosen because it leads to more accurate diagnoses, more comfortable visits, and results you can actually see.

You Deserve Answers, Not Guesswork

When a dentist has a complete picture of your oral health before treatment begins, everything that follows is more precise, more predictable, and more comfortable for you. That is the reason Dr. Jeong and Dr. Kang invested in high-end equipment from day one. Not for appearances, but because better information produces better outcomes. Here is how each tool works for you.

iTero Digital Scanner

Traditional dental impressions require trays filled with a thick, uncomfortable material that many patients gag on. The iTero scanner eliminates that entirely. A small wand moves quickly around your mouth and captures a precise 3D digital model of your teeth in minutes.

You benefit from this in a few ways:

  • No impression trays, no gagging, no mess
  • Your scan is ready to review on screen immediately
  • Results are more accurate than traditional impressions, which means better-fitting aligners, crowns, and restorations
  • If you are considering Invisalign, you can see a preview of your projected results right in the chair

CBCT Imaging

A standard dental X-ray gives your provider a flat, two-dimensional image. CBCT imaging gives Dr. Kang and Dr. Jeong a full three-dimensional view of your teeth, jawbone, nerve pathways, and surrounding anatomy before any implant placement or surgical procedure begins.

What this means for you:

  • Every implant or surgical case is mapped out in full before treatment starts
  • Your provider can identify potential complications before they happen
  • You go into any procedure knowing it has been planned carefully and thoroughly
  • Less room for surprises means a smoother recovery on your end

CAD/CAM Restoration Design

Designing a crown or restoration used to rely on physical molds and a significant margin for human error. CAD/CAM technology replaces that process with digital precision. Your restoration is designed using exact 3D data captured from your scan, which means a better fit, a more natural look, and fewer adjustments once it is placed.

For you, this translates to:

  • A restoration designed to match your bite and surrounding teeth with accuracy a physical mold cannot replicate
  • Fewer follow-up visits to correct fit issues
  • A smoother, more predictable process from start to finish

Intraoral Camera

Most patients sit through a dental exam hearing clinical terms they do not fully understand and trusting that whatever is being described is accurate. The intraoral camera changes that entirely.

A small, pen-sized camera captures live images of your teeth and displays them on a screen right next to you. You see exactly what your doctor sees, in real time:

  • Areas of concern are visible to you before any treatment is recommended
  • You can ask questions about what you are looking at and get answers on the spot
  • Treatment recommendations become something you understand firsthand, not just take on faith
  • The process builds genuine trust between you and your provider

Laser Dentistry

For patients who need gum treatment or soft tissue procedures, laser dentistry is a more comfortable and more precise alternative to traditional surgical methods.

  • Targets only the affected tissue without disturbing the surrounding area
  • Typically requires little to no anesthetic for minor soft tissue work
  • Reduces bleeding, swelling, and recovery time compared to conventional techniques
  • Bacterial removal with laser technology is more thorough and less invasive than traditional scaling alone

If gum disease or periodontal concerns are part of your treatment plan, laser therapy gives us a gentler, more effective way to address them.

Hiossen Implant System

Not all implant systems are the same. Dr. Kang uses the Hiossen implant system for every implant placement at Nest Dental, selected for its clinical track record, precise engineering, and long-term reliability.

Combined with CBCT planning and Dr. Kang's specialized training in implant dentistry and oral surgery, you receive a level of preparation and precision that most general practices cannot offer in-house. Your implant is planned thoroughly, placed carefully, and built to last.
